Here are the Hyundai Verna airbag modules. As you can see, the second module we have made connection to the Xhorse VVDI PROG. Following we’re gonna read the airbag data for module reset.

Whenever you make the connection, keep in mind that no wire should ever touch the surrounding area. And there’s no need to give 12 volts to read it. It gets read directly.

In this way, you can easily read Honda’s next generation airbag module with VVDI PROG or Multi-Prog. Its part number comes in different ways such as A6000, 6100, 62, 63, 64… There are many different part numbers. However, you can follow the above method.

 Problem:

Tried to clone remote using Xhorse vvdi wire remote v2 XKB520EN, it failed me.

Error “SN2 modle detected. Special clone only support wire key.”

Solution:

Special clone only supports gen1 wired remote.

Gen2 wire remote does not support special remote cloning.

 How-to: Unlock VW Passat b7 USA model ID48 key with Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus using Eeprom dump.

Procedure:

Read transponder information. You can see it is locked.

Go to IMMO Programming-> VW->Select by type -> 4th immo system-Volkswagen-> Instrument with NEC+ 24C64 (2013-)-> Start Progrfamming-> More Functions-> Unlock Key

Put the locked id48 key to key tool plus coil and hit OK.

NOTE: This function does not support unlocking KeylessGo type, electronic 48 transponder, or key made by other device.

Unlock key success.

Read the transponder information again. Now you can see it is unlocked.

Now you can program the key to other cars.

 Problem:

I want to program the elv with xhorse vvdi key tool plus on bench. I have supply outside Power to MB fast adapter. I still get no power. No voltage displayed.  Programmed 3 mercedes keys until now
But cannot do ELV.

Here is the possible solution.

Remove adapter and connect OBD cable, do a Kline self-test.

Go to immo programming——More functions——Device test——K-line test

If there is voltage without adapter, key tool plus device is no problem. Connect Benz adapter as follows, if there is no voltage, the Benz adapter is broken. Replace new adapter and try again.

 VW Beetle 2005

 Problem:

I tried doing 2021 Buick envision, my Autel IM508 didn’t even read the system, My Xhorse vvdi key tool max pro was able to communicate with the system but asked me for 24 digit security code saying I must get it from 3rd party! The code obviously changes every time as well so it has to be done in one shot. How to get this code?

Solution:

Solution 1:

Xhorse cannot read these rolling codes.

Buy 24-digit security code from 3rd party.

There is a guy Ameer Hasan on facebook will provide this code.

Solution 2:

If all keys lost, you can do it with ACDelco SPS2 without rolling code.

Requires a J2534 adapter that supports CAN FD protocol.

Solution 3:

If add key, you can clone ID49 smart key using xhorse XM38 universal key.

 People had problems with Xhorse Multi Prog CH version.

After updating the database (since database v89), they may have these problems:

• all displayed in Chinse,
• cannot load the database,
• all display is gone.

Your device is CH region (after serial number you can see (CH), CH region need to be used with Chinese language. Vise versa.

You’d better change your device from CH version to GL version in the long run.

 Problem:

Customer asked if i could make him a flip key for a 08 Honda CR-V. I bought a few Xhorse universal flips and was trying to generate the remote in XE-wireless key, the purple package ones. If just says not supported, the key is XEMQB1EN. When i try to generate the same Honda Remote in to another XE, XEB510EN, i can see the Mini tool will recognize the remote.

Any idea?

XEB510EN is different XE remote because it comes with the XT27B and the XEMQB1EN is with the old chip type XY27A.

Generally for Honda the XN work better.

Xhorse is having problems generating Honda remotes with XE the fob will only genetate the transponder but not the remote part, it will go blank or bricked.

Blue package XN wireless remote key works on Honda.
