We here just to inform you that Xhorse Multi Prog software V1.2.3.0 and firmware V1.2.7 fix the issue that the adapter for the CAS4 not working with the multi prog.

Firmware V1.2.7 fixed 9S12 reading issue using CAS4+ solderless adapter to decode CAS4+ (5M48H).

XDNP CAS4 adapter has two versions, V1.2 and V1.3.  The V1.3 new type of adapter with rely inside, V1.2 does not.

The old one V1.2 CAS4 adapter works perfectly.

This is a 2013 BMW 640i CAS4+. We set up the CAS4 solder free adapter with module and multi prog.

Menu: Immobilizer->BMW->CAS4 5M48H BACKUP (Adapter) option

Then read D-flash.

It is trying to decode the chip.

Read D-flash successfully. The file is huge.

We get a good read.

 Some users reported that they failed to generate Xhorse XSSBR0EN Subaru XM38 remote on Subaru 8A/4D smart key models.

For example:

Tried to generate KeylessGp 4D, Legacy 2020-2022 8A, and Crosstrek 2018-2022 8A remote with Subaru XM38 but got an error.

Solution:

Check the compatible remote type in Xhorse App.

You should use XM-28 Toyota or XM38 Toyota remotes for Subaru 4A/8A smart keys.

As for the Subaru XM38, it is the universal XM38 remote. 

These keys aren’t the XM38 Toyota special keys just nxp orange keys don’t work for Toyota or Subaru.

It can be used to generate remotes compatible with the XM38 Smart Key option.

 Now, the Xhorse MQB RH850 V850 Adapter for Multi-Prog is available. It supports reading VW 4th gen Johnson Controls 34xx series, MQB-RH850(R7F) series and MQB 34xx series instruments. Required to use the MultiProg Programmer meanwhile.

For those who need to calculate immo data, VVDI2 or VVDI Key Tool Plus are both good choice. Following we’ll demonstrate the process on how to read MQB48 R7F701402 instrument data.

Connection

Open Multi-Prog software, find the option to view the connecting diagram.

Device >> MQB48-LOCK(R7F701402)-READ(VW->MQB)

• Remove these 8 components, then scrape of the PCB mask.
• Solder the wires to connect the RH850/V850 Adapter and instrument. Secure them with acetate tape.
• Continue soldering the wires on the other side. Once the soldering is successful, connect the adapter, Multi-Prog, computer and VVDI2. Don’t forget to power the Multi-Prog.

Read Data via MULTI-PROG

Now, let’s proceed to read the data.

Open VVDI software.

Press OK to save MQB48 immo data file!

The file can be used for making dealer key & adding key.

This is the usage method of MQB-RH850/V850 adapter for MULTI-PROG. No cutting wires, no lifting pins. Significantly reduces the risk of instrument damage. Very practical!

 Here are the tips to generate and modify Xhorse Toyota XM38 key for a Lexus rx350, FCCID: HYQ14FBB (231451-0010 “G” Board).

“Did a 2019 Lexus rx350 using xhorse XM38 and these are the settings that worked for me proximity and remote functions worked.

This one was especially for this key.

You can edit them manually. When you’re on the remote screen, on the bottom left there’s a “more” option. After that, select modify button-distance and then you can read the key after being generated.

 Today I’m gonna use Xhorse Multi Prog Programmer to do cloning for a 2009 Land Rover Discovery 3 CEM.

I’ve selected my Discovery 3 SIM.

Now after the connection, I read it and the moment it find the chip ID. You can see the VIN number of the BCM that was given to me.

Since I’m going to write the customer’s data into it, I should save the reading data first in case of anything I can restore it back.

Open the data file from customer.

I’ll check the VIN number and make sure that’s correct. We can see the key codes, key IDs and VIN.

After confirmation, click “Write”.

Xhorse Multi-Prog writes quickly, it only took 13 seconds.

Next I’ll read it again then compare to the file from customer. To see if the file are the same.

 Problem:

One of our customers failed to calibrate the Xhorse Dolphin XP005L key cutting machine. The dolphin ii reported error code 6 during the calibration process.

Possible solution:

Open the back cover and adjust the X-axis sensor or baffle.

User feedback:

He checked and found this part is broken.

Final solution:

Need to replace the X-axis sensor.

Better replace the sensor of other axes to the X-axis and do an X-axis motor test first to see if there are any other problems.

 Xhorse Multi Prog new user report:

Multi prog read and write success Audi 2014 SQ5 8hp55a.
Read original module twice and compared data all ok.
Read doner module and saved files.
Wrote doner module then read doner module and compared to original read all good to go.

No component protection to do once fitted as it thinks it’s the original gear box . Also in some cases the OEM will not allow a second hand unit to be adapted to a vehicle with there software.

I have done dq200 , dq500 and this 8hp with it so far all pretty good.

 Problem:

Trying to read BMW CAS3+ 0L15Y eeprom with xhorse vvdi prog and XDNP11 CAS3 solder free adapter. Reads ID ok but failed to read and reported error chip crack failure. Any solution?

Solution:
1. Keep vvdiprog software update to date.

2. Double the connection.

3. Adjust VPP voltage (2.7/3.3/4.5) and try again.

 It is an Audi A6 2010 year with J518 ELV.  Successfully cloned with Xhorse Multi prog programmer, need to adjust VDD voltage manually 4.5V to crack and read/write chip. 3L40K chip.
