Write flash until finished.

 Xhorse VVDI MB Tool and VVDI Key Tool Plus use different MB power adapter for Benz password fast online calculation.

These power adapters cannot be mixed used, otherwise, you will get “MB Power Adapter Response Error”.

They can be identified by their appearance.

This is the MB power adapter for VVDI MB. It has 1 hole on 1 side only.

This is the MB power adapter for Key tool plus. It has 1 hole on both sides.

 Problem:

A customer was trying to read Benz EZS password with MB power adapter for fast reading, but vvdi key tool plus reported an error “MB power adapter response error”.

Go to Immo programming-Benz-Select from system-Special function-Detect mb power adapter-Turn on the power adapter, then try again.

 How-to: read Porsche MLB Key Immo Data by Xhorse VVDI MLB Tool Key programmer.

Place the key in the device identification area and click OK for identification.

Read key ID and info. The key is locked.

Remove key shell and take out PCB.

Check wiring diagram. Need to remove capacitors.

Then solder wires to the key board.

Place the key in the VVDI MLB Tool identification area and click OK for identification again.

Select Collect key data.

Choose Collect original keys- points deduction. The calculation will deduct 200 points.

Online calculate immo data completed.

Save data.

Now you can make dealer key and learn MLB key.

 Problem:

Xhorse VVDI2 does not detect super chip XT27, but my colleague’s device is exctaly the same device, it see them, and all operations with it are reset and assigned a different value.

The device does not work only with super chips, all other chips work.

Error: ‘Not detect VVDI Super Chip‘

Solution:

Go to Options tab->Set Parameters.

Set antenna gain value to 0,1, 2, 3 respectively and try again.

If all failed to detect super chip, there is something wrong with your vvdi2. Need to send back your seller for repair.

 Today I’m gonna show how to add a new smart key for 2009 FIAT500 first version with Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Max PRO by OBD.

Turn ignition on.

Connect VVDI Key Tool Max PRO to car OBD port.

Immo programming >> FIAT >> Select by area >> European area >> 500 >> Flip-key(2008-2017) >> IMMO system(DELPHI 93C86_ID46) >> Start programming >> Type 1(93C86) >> Display immo information(PIN, Key ID)

Here we can check the password: 27665

Press “Make dealer key”

Please put the key or blank 46 chip in the sensing coil of the Key Tool Max PRO and keep it still, because some non-original key position will be different.

Press OK.

Generating dealer key, please wait…

Generate dealer key successfully.

Press “Key programming”.

All keys that can start the vehicle must be programmed, keys that are not programmed will be scrapped(cannot be programmed again).

The new key to be programmed must be a dealer key!

Press Yes to continue.

Please enter a 5-digit security code: 27665

Here Key Tool Max PRO will automatically enter it.

Switch ignition on.

Current key number: 2

Insert the wanted programming key, switch ignition on.

Caddy and transporter have mqb48 with old 202ad remote. You can code remote with chip or separately. The newer models – 202BH you must code it with chip learning – like golf7 etc.

 Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus and Autel IM508 key programmer which one better??

Not one tool on the market can do all cars, Key tool plus is better for VAG and Mercedes, IM508 with xp400 pro also has basic diagnostics and it can reset other modules that key tool plus doesn’t.

VVDI PAD does BMW, Mercedes and VAG group better than Autel, it can also control key cutter and program remotes. Autel have slightly better coverage on Renault, Volvo and Opel/Vauxhall

Autel now removed Toyota AKL immo reset function in the North American region. Xhorse is not affected.

Key Tool Plus has no subscription and free update but will pay for newer functions like mqb and bmw motorcycles – only buy if you need.  IM508 usually gets 2 year subscription.

Autel UI is better – xhorse is easier and doesn’t need a separate xp400/xp400 pro for simple eeprom and mcu work.

key tool plus pad is better at mqb and let’s you clone original IDs which Autel won’t do.

Xhorse also has solder free adapters for BCM CEM etc while Autel does not.

No one is better than the other. You need two devices, if one doesn’t work the other will work.  Both combined will cover 98% of the market.

 There are some speical functions of Xhorse VVDI BIMTool pro under Fxx/Gxx Program/Code menu. Here comes the explanation of these special functions.

Function Introduction:

1. Switch ON/OFF transport mode: if in transport mode car not start, you can usethis function

2. Reset FEM to start: change module, if after change configuration data can‟tstart car because motor, you can use this function

3. Emergency switch ON: When all key lost or the ELV is off, the FEM/BDC/CAS4system can be programmed after turning on the ignition switch ON

4. Update gateway InstallECUlist: Update gateway Install ECU list

5. Reset FlexRay: Reset FlexRay will reset the internal FlexRay of the gateway.

Attention: Before this operation, you need to write the gateway control unit list first and reset FlexRay then reinitialize FlexRay

6. Initialize FlexRay: Initializing FlexRay will reset the internal FlexRay of the gateway. Before performing this function, make sure that all modules have been installed on car and communicate normally! After initializing FlexRay, if error codeof the vehicle appears, power off the vehicle for ten minutes it will work

7. Update MSM: MSM contains the SVT file information of all modules. Generally,this operation does not need to be performed. To perform this operation, you need to load the SVT file containing all the control unit information. The SVT file will besaved on the computer by default when the vehicle information is read.

8. Reset ELV: This function is used to replace the FEM/BDC, and the ignitionswitch can be turned on after resetting the ELV

9. FSC Tool: Update the navigation file information.

Calculate activate code: NBT host uses DE type FSC file to calculate activate code, CIC host uses 1B type FSC file to calculate activate code

Read: read “VIN”, “Base Variant”Read FSC information: read license information

Backup FSC file: backup license information

Write FSC file: write license information

Uninstall license: Uninstall unnecessary license

Delete license: delete unnecessary license

Restart unit: Restart the navigation control unit module

10. VCM Tool: Mainly for read, write and backup VCM data

Main function introduction: Read VCM data from the gateway, including the FA configuration informationof the vehicle. For example: when a module containing FA information needs to be programmed separately on the bench, and the configuration information of the bench is different with the module, you can read the backup VCM information fromother module of the original vehicle that has not lost information, and then write theinformation into the module. Other modules, such as instrumentation, FEM, foot space module. When the programming coding information of some modules of the vehicle is lost, you can get all the information from here, and loading this information can restore the programming and coding information of the lost module

11. Initialize Airbag: It needs to use this function after repairing or replacing the airbag, otherwise the airbag will be abnormal

12. Reset EKPS production mode: Generally, after replacing the EKSP control unit need Reset EKPS Produce mode

13. Customer request: Send the code to the car, check the model information, and judge the problem through the vehicle’s feedback. For example: send the message 22F190,you can get the VIN
