Problem:

Trying to read VAG MQB D70F3532 cluster with xhorse vvdi prog and mqb solder free adapter. 12V to the adapter and prog. Failed to read cluster data, error try frequency failed.  Only yellow indicator turns on. Any solution?

Possible solution:

Don’t connect adapter to cluster, only connect MQB adapter with vvdi prog, with 12V in both VVDI Prog and MQB Adapter.

If only has frequency failed error, you have to measure FLMD0 voltage.

Go and read by TEST_OPTION_15,  measure the FLMD0 voltage, normally the FLMD0 should be 3.3V, otherwise, the vvdi prog is faulty. Need to send back for repair.

 If your Xhorse dolphin xp005l (dolphin ii) key cutting machine does not bring new updates and whenever you update it stucks on screen, you may need to enter developer mode to update firmware.

Here is the guide to enter developer mode.

Go to System

Press the question mark icon on the right top of the screen

Press the QR code

Press Yes to clear all data and enter Developer Mode (factory mode).

Update firmware in Developer mode.

Then switch to normal mode to update firmware again.

It should be fine.

 Problem:

In this E series FRM XDT256 model, after making a copy of the EEPROM and FLASH with xhorse vvdi prog, I have a ‘Lost OBD communication’ error. Any solution?

Solution:

FRM Repair Method:

Remove FRM, check data with VVDI Prog, if all data are blank (FF), then write data to the MCU.

First disassemble the FRM and use VVDI PROG to check its data. If the data is empty (FF), then you only need to re-write data into it.

Some cars can be repaired directly after writing the data, If there is a deviation, for example, if the vehicle model is similar but the data is different, then you will need to perform FRM coding with universal scanners (i.e Launch X431).

 Problem:

When trying to read Renesas V850 D70F3366 MCU with xhorse vvdi prog, it failed to read and said error try freuqency failed.

Solution:

Soldering problem.

Remove, solder the chip and read it (follow the wiring diagram).

 New user report:

Audi A4 b8 2009 all keys lost is done with xhorse vvdi key tool plus via OBD.
5 min car start without problems using keytool plus.

Read all information with obd.
Disconnect only plug with BCM and reconnect. Disconnect plugs bcm for 10 sec
And prepare dealer key and learn key in obd.

 You will connect bcm pq25 with Xhorse VAG iscancar MM-007 scanner and godiag ecu gpt adapter.

 This is the BMS (battery module) used on Mercedes C Class W205.

Use this hot air station to heat it until it reaches a certain temperature.
Then take it off with tweezers.

Be careful not to overhear when heating
Otherwise, the chip will be damaged.

There is a point on the chip shows PIN number 1.
According to the position we will know which direction to solder it on the adapter.
and match it to the small hole on the chip which shows PIN 1.

Then solder all, put some soldering paste.
Then connect the adapter with vvdi prog to read and write.

Run vvdi prog software
Select ST M95M01 chip

Read chip
Save chip
Then select the file to repair the BMS

Write chip

Write data successfully.

Reinstall chip back into battery module.

 Xhorse Multi Prog has built-in MQB48 (NEC35XX Lock) and BMW Bench ISN (MSV90/MSV80/MSD80/MSD81/MSD85/MSD87 ) reading licenses.

If you see licenses are not activated, need to sync device.

How to Sync Xhorse Multi-prog?

Connect multiprog device with PC

Go to Update Online tab-> Authorization management

Press Synchronization and press OK

*MQB48 license also needs to combine device with vvdi2 full or Key tool plus to activate it.
