To cut a Hyundai Sonata HY22 with Xhorse Key Cutting Machine when all keys lost, you’ll need to get its key code at first. After successfully reading out bittings with LISHI tool, I’ve got the key code K1635. Now, it’s up to Xhorse to do the rest!

This time I’m going to use Xhorse Dolphin XP005 to finish the job. It’s surely workable if you have a newer Dolphin 2 as well.

Procedure

All key lost >> Hyundai >> Enter key code: K1635 >> HY22

It tells to use M5 clamp on B side, tip align position line 2.

Put a key blank to fix on M5 clamp.

Cut key >> Cut

Dolphin XP005 will start cutting directly…

Wait processing until 100%.

After one-side cutting was finished, turn over the key to cut the other side.

Cut key >> Cut

All we have to do is just waiting and let it go.

Once cutting finished, take out the key for a test.

It actually works and works perfectly.

Here is a step-by-step detailed guide to learn BMW motorcycle key.

Go to IMMO Programming-> BMW->Select from system->BMW Motorcycle key learning ->Coding function-> Start programming

Step 1.Read vehicle information

Step 2. Unlock X_SLZ/X_EMS

Read instructions. Do not touch any button on the vehicle during the programming process
make sure vehicle must have a power supply 12v.
if the programming is interrupted due to vehicle volatge or other reasns, try to continue programming first, if programming cannot continue, use the programmer to write normal FLASH before programming.

make sure internet is also stable.

Unlock completed.

Step 3. Read security key

Step 4. Add key

Put XM38 BMW motorcycle key identify key
Follow vvdi key tool to add new XM38 key until completed.

Go to Immo programming-> Landrover->Discovery 3->Key Programming->Start-> Program keys

Insert a valid key into the ignition switch and turn the ignition off

 There are mainly 4 types in Xhorse VVDI Remotes: wired remote, wireless remote, super remote and smart remote. Following we’re going to talk about how to distinguish them quickly.

Wired Remote

Wired Remote corresponds to VVDI XK series. There are more than 60 exquisite appearance to choose from. When generating, we need to connect it to the device with a programming cable. Please do not install battery when generating, otherwise it will fail.

Wireless Remote & Super Remote

Wireless Remote corresponds to VVDI XN series, Super Remote corresponds to VVDI XE series. From the appearance, we can see that super remote has 2 triodes while wireless remote does not. Both remotes have an inductor on the back.

When they are generated, the battery needs to be installed. Otherwise, they cannot be detected by the device and cannot be generated.

Wireless remote supports electric 46, 47 and other models as well as some 13 transponder models. Note that Honda 46 and 47 need to be generated with wireless remote.

Super remote supports 8A(Toyota H/Hyundai 8A, cloneable), 8C(Haima), 8E(Honda), 4C(Corolla), 4D(60, 63, 70, 80, 83, 72G, 67, 69), 4E(64), 48(VW, Honda, etc.), 7935(33, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44), 7936(46), 11/12/13 models.

Smart Remote

Smart Remote corresponds to VVDI XS series. It can be mainly divided into NXP smart key and XM38 smart key.

The transponder in NXP smart key is 2953 or 29A1. NXP smart key has a wide range of styles, including KING Card, SW-007, etc. It doesn’t support 4D and 8A types. But other types such as 46, 47, MQB48, MQB49, 47 and 4A can all be supported.

XM38 smart key has an XM38 transponder inside. And it can be divided into 2 types: XM38 TOY.T Smart Key and XM38 universal smart key. They all have a 3D inductor on the back.

XM38 Toyota smart key can generate all prox options including 4D, 8A and all types supported by NXP smart key such as 46, 47, MQB48, MQB49, 4A, etc. XM38 universal smart key can generate all prox options expect for Toyota, including 4D, 8A and all types supported by NXP smart key.

 Problem:

I had a problem cutting Suzuki HU133R key blank. My Xhorse Condor II key cutting machine gave me error code 3. Not detected cutter. Any advice?

Solution:

First of all, do an Electrical Conductivity test.

In Condor II main menu, go to Settings->Machine Test-> Electrical Conductivity Measurement->Start Test

 Problem:

I just got the xhorse vvdi mb tool and tried to install software on Windows 11. But no luck keeps getting error Application was unable to start. Any solution?

Solution:

Better install software on Windows 10 system.
Disable anti-virus program.
Disable firewall.

Reinstall software.

 Question: I am ready to order the xhorse MQB nec35xx license for vvdi2. Is this option Ok for Odometer correction. Sync data also needed for odometer? or just for the Immo part.

Answer:

MQB license works for odometer as well.

Sync data is just for IMMO of course. Sync data is for dealer key generation.

The whole dump is encrypted and the processors are locked. But for odometer you don’t need sync data. The servers of VVDI/AVDI and the other tools decrypt the dash/immo data but they cannot get the sync data which is only stored in the working key.

So currently you have one option to get the SYNC data (when key is missing) – use paid service to get it from VAG server. Soon there may be a second option – to generate the SYNC yourself by reading all the computer modules in the car (ECU, DASH, ELV, Transmission…) but for the moment there’s no tool which can read the ELV if fitted.

Xhorse MQB mileage correction review:

1). Today did Skoda Octavia 2016 with MQB Visteon 5E0920781B dash D70F3529 MCU. Read, Write, ZERO issues.

Xhorse released an update on the app that users can now use the M5 Clamp, which is a combination of M1 and M2 clamp on the Dolphin XP005. So I went on www.vvdishop.com and for about $249 dollars. I got a clamp. I’m gonna unbox it here.

I’ll put the M5 clamp on the machine to try it out. I do have to update my firmware and Xhorse app for this function. In terms of M5 clamp type, vacuum seal it is to keep it fresh, I guess.

The cool thing about M5 clamp is that I don’t have to keep swapping them. Just open it all the way up and rotate it over to the B side, which is like the M2 clamp. You don’t need to swap the clamp back, which is really nice if you ever doing a lot of keys in one place.

So I’m going to go ahead and loosen out slide off the M1 clamp. Do a little house cleaning , then install the M5 clamp. Crank it down, power on the machine. To be sure, M5 clamp doesn’t need a calibration, but it needs to be set up.

Open app, connect to Xhorse Dolphin:

Device information >> Cutting setting >> Clamp >> M5 >> Set parameters

Setting parameter success.

Following I’m going to cut a Toyota Prius TOY48 key for a test.

All keys lost >> Toyota >> Inter key code: 46081 >> TOY48

It says to use M5 clamp B side, tip align line 2.

I have a Dolphin 2 as well. The knob is actually different. But as long as it works, it doesn’t really matter. After tightening the key blank, here we go.

OK >> Cut key >> Cut

The Dolphin starts cutting…

After finishing, flop it around to cut the second side.

Key cutting is now completed.

Take out the key to test if it works.

Alright, key goes in, and it turns perfectly. There’s no calibration here but M5 clamp can actually index the key and cut by code well.

 Problem:

I have a new xhorse dolphin xp005l, and it is already calibrated, when I send the order to cut, it reaches 1%, the red light comes on and this error code 42 message appears, I already tried another cutter and tried.

Solution:
First make sure the work area is clear and clean. No shavings on the clamp at all. Next do the ‘Height Level Adjustment’. After performing that, try cutting your key.

If you did a firmware update, you have to perform it AGAIN. — If you truly did the Height level adjustment, and it’s not seeing the probe & cutter at the same height, then it might need sent in for service.

It’s very simple!

•then click “Height Level Adjustment”

 Today I’m going to show how to cut the Toyota and Lexus 80K series key by using Xhorse Dolphin XP005 + VVDI Key Tool Max. To cut the Toyota XM Smart Key, we’ll use a special adapter that Xhorse gives you for these keys.

As Xhorse does not tell when or how to use the key adapter, following I’ll show you.

Connect Key Tool Max to key cutting machine via Bluetooth.

All key lost >> Toyota >> Enter key code: 84748

It’s going to tell us to use the M2-A clamp, and tip align 1 position.

Take the key adapter to sit at M2 clamp. As we can see, the adapter is not as long as the key.

Put the key blank onto the adapter, tip align the first line and tighten it.

Now the key is able to get cut.

So press “Cut key” on Key Tool Max.

Dolphin XP005 will automatically start working.

Just wait…

Perfectly completed.
